Baseball Recap: Bullitt East's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Bullitt East won the last time they faced Whitefield Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Chargers were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Wildcats. The victory was nothing new for the Chargers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Keeton Kleinhenz tossed a big game, striking out 15 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Those 15 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brenden Lewis, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Devin Elder also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Bullitt East's record now sits at 13-3-1. As for Whitefield Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Bullitt East will take on Male at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Whitefield Academy, they will square off against Portland Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
