Basketball Game Preview: Presbyterian Christian Bobcats vs. Morton Panthers

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Presbyterian Christian Bobcats face off against the Morton Panthers on Friday... Presbyterian Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully Morton likes a good challenge.

Presbyterian Christian will head into Saturday's contest eager for some revenge after what happened against Greene County: Presbyterian Christian blew Greene County out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Greene County got their revenge. Presbyterian Christian fell just short of Greene County by a score of 61-58. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bobcats came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Wildcats are ranked 137th).

Meanwhile, Morton waltzed into their game on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They breezed by the Rebels to the tune of 64-37.

Morton pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Presbyterian Christian, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-3.
