Scurry-Rosser put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the Clifton Cubs 67-49. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 159th, while the Cubs are ranked 419th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Clifton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ray Ochoa, who posted 16 points. Maddox Hinojosa was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Scurry-Rosser's victory bumped their record up to 14-0. As for Clifton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-5.

Scurry-Rosser wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 82-31 win against Rio Vista on the 27th. Clifton has also already played their next game, a 72-45 victory against Millsap on the 27th.
