Volleyball Game Preview: Ocoee Knights vs. Dr. Phillips Panthers

Ocoee is 0-9 against Dr. Phillips since March of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Knights will square off against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Ocoee came up short against Oak Ridge and fell 3-1.

While Ocoee ultimately came up short, they really made Oak Ridge work, particularly in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-23, 25-27, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Dr. Phillips came up short against Windermere on Thursday, falling 3-0.

While Dr. Phillips ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-17, 25-20.

Ocoee will have to contain Evan Cervantes as he made an impact in Dr. Phillips' last game. He had 17 digs and one assist. Cervantes has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times he's played.

Dr. Phillips' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ocoee, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Ocoee might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Dr. Phillips in their previous matchup back in March of 2025.
