Baseball Recap: Amsterdam Rams vs. Queensbury Spartans
If Amsterdam was feeling good fresh off their 8-2 takedown of Hudson Falls on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams lost 13-2 to the Queensbury Spartans on Monday. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Amsterdam saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Wheeler, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.
Amsterdam's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Queensbury, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Queensbury will host Scotia-Glenville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Amsterdam will be paying especially close attention to the Spartans' contest: after the Spartans face off against the Tartans, they'll take on Amsterdam again at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
