Recap: Deshler Dragons vs. Blue Hill Bobcats
There's no place like home for the Deshler Dragons, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They snuck past Blue Hill with a 39-33 victory on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Deshler also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Deshler was led to victory by Cameron Harding and Carson Sieber. Harding scored 11 points along with seven steals, while Sieber scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Brent Buescher, who scored six points.
Deshler is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Blue Hill, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Deshler will take on Lawrence-Nelson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (Lawrence-Nelson is ranked 170th, while Deshler is ranked 192nd). As for Blue Hill, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Heartland Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
