Baseball Game Preview: Cumberland Gap Panthers vs. Clinton Dragons

The Cumberland Gap Panthers will take on the Clinton Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cumberland Gap's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three games, but Monday's match will give them a chance to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Cumberland Gap's offense. They lost 11-0 to Bell County on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Clinton didn't have quite enough to beat Gatlinburg-Pittman on Friday and fell 4-3.

Cumberland Gap's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Clinton, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 8-16.

Cumberland Gap suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Clinton when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
