Conifer dropped their record down to 9-12 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They fell 6-2 to the Golden Demons. The Lobos were not able to make up for their loss to the Demons from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
Mason Murphy made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.
As for Golden, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games.
On Golden's side, they got a great performance from Taden Svendsen as he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Svendsen has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Brody McBroom was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Paulson, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
