Baseball Recap: Wildwood Comes Up Short

Wildwood fell victim to Overbrook and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 6-0 to the Rams. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost six in a row.

Trevor Troiano spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered six runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Wildwood saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was RJ Blanda, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Wildwood's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Overbrook, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Looking ahead, Wildwood will head out on the road to challenge Lower Cape May at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Overbrook, they will square off against Penns Grove at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams are facing the Red Devils at the right time seeing as the Red Devils are stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
