Baseball Recap: Environmental Charter Comes Up Short

Environmental Charter and Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Environmental Charter had to settle for second. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The White Tigers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Christian Salazar made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Environmental Charter's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 6-1 (and 7-8 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Carlos Leanos, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs.
