Softball Recap: Limestone Takes a Loss

Limestone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 6-0 to the Canton Little Giants. The Rockets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Little Giants apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Limestone now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Canton, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Coming up, Limestone will welcome Washington at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so the Rockets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Canton, they will challenge Metamora at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Little Giants are facing the Redbirds at the right time seeing as the Redbirds are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
