Ever Ovalle posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Red Bluff is 5-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 7-8 otherwise.

Ovalle's strong effort led Red Bluff over Wood and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
