Basketball Game Preview: College View Academy Eagles vs. Parkview Christian Patriots

College View Academy hasn't had much luck against Parkview Christian recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The College View Academy Eagles will head out to square off against the Parkview Christian Patriots at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, College View Academy got the win against Dorchester by a conclusive 56-32. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Parkview Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Cornerstone Christian School 55-53. The win was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on four straight.

Parkview Christian's win came from a few key players College View Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tairren Scott, who went 6 of 15 en route to 15 points along with six assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Guilherme De-Lima, who posted 17 points in addition to six assists and four steals.

Parkview Christian's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for College View Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

College View Academy came up short against Parkview Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 59-53. Can College View Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
