Soccer Recap: Lejeune Makes It Nine in a Row at Home

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lejeune had no problem doing just that on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Hobbton Wildcats 3-2. That's two games straight that Lejeune have won by just one goal.

Jazzalynn Miller and Scarlett McLean scored all three of Lejeune's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 71 goals.

Lejeune's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-0-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up four goals over those nine contests. As for Hobbton, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 14-8-1 record.

Looking ahead, Lejeune will challenge Woods Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Woods Charter will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Lejeune surely won't give up without a fight. Hobbton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
