Archimedean takes loss despite strong efforts from David Lopez-Lantigua and Joseph Vega

Recap: Archimedean vs. Cushman Cougars
Archimedean lost against the Cushman Cougars back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Archimedean fell 50-42 to Cushman. Archimedean has not had much luck with Cushman recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Joseph Vega and David Lopez-Lantigua certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Vega scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and six steals, while Lopez-Lantigua scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That was a full 54.8% of Archimedean's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Archimedean's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Cushman, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.
Archimedean will be playing in front of their home fans against Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cushman won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Sheridan Hills Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. One thing working in Sheridan Hills Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups.
