Basketball Recap: Woodcrest Baptist Academy Gets the Win

Woodcrest Baptist Academy was forced to take a big loss against First Baptist on Friday, they got the better of them on Monday. Woodcrest Baptist Academy came out on top against First Baptist by a score of 87-77. This was a revenge game for Woodcrest Baptist Academy: when they faced off against First Baptist on Friday, they had to take a 62-33 defeat.

First Baptist lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Caleb Lindsay, who shot 40% from the field en route to 25 points. Another player making a difference was Alex Gomez, who almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds.

The victory got Woodcrest Baptist Academy back to even at 1-1. As for First Baptist, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 9-2 record.

Coincidentally, Woodcrest Baptist Academy and First Baptist will both be playing Prior Lake Christian the next time they take the court. Woodcrest Baptist Academy will host Prior Lake Christian at 6:45 p.m. on the 23rd, while First Baptist will host them at 6:45 p.m. on the 30th.
