Basketball Recap: Logan Comes Up Short

Logan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 60-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Canal Winchester Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chieftains this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 34-26 back in January.

Despite the loss, Logan still got an impressive performance from Makenzie Daubenmire, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 boards. Daubenmire continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ella Hinton, who posted eight points.

Even though they lost, Logan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Logan's record now sits at 4-17. As for Canal Winchester, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Logan will face off against Groveport-Madison at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Canal Winchester, they will take on Lancaster at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
