Soccer Recap: Valley vs. Western
Valley's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They never let the Western Indians onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what Valley needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.
They hit Western with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Chase Davis (2),
Landon Cunningham, and
Jaxsyn Bender.
Valley's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Western, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Valley will stay at home for another game and welcome Clay at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Clay knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goal or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Valley likes a good challenge. As for Western, they will square off against Portsmouth at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
