Basketball Recap: Chloe Davies Key Part of a Team Effort in Demons Win

Glenwood Springs posted their biggest win since December 12, 2024 on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Steamboat Springs Sailors as the Glenwood Springs Demons made off with a 41-18 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Demons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Glenwood Springs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chloe Davies led the charge by going 6 of 10 en route to 17 points. That's the most points Davies has posted since back in February of 2024. Lillian Wattier was another key player, putting up five points and eight rebounds.

Glenwood Springs smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive matches.

Glenwood Springs' win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Steamboat Springs, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Glenwood Springs has already played their next contest (against Rifle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Steamboat Springs will square off against Battle Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Battle Mountain will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Steamboat Springs surely won't give up without a fight.
