Softball Preview: Twin River Titans vs. Southern/Diller-Odell        
        
		
             Twin River has gone 3-0 against Southern/Diller-Odell recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Saturday. The Twin River Titans' road trip will continue as they head out to face Southern/Diller-Odell at 10:00  a.m. Twin River is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.5  runs per game  this season.
 Twin River will bounce into Saturday's   match after  beating NEN, who they hadn't topped in nine consecutive meetings. Twin River walked away with  a   13-9  win over NEN  on Tuesday.
  Marcie Spitz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  pitched seven innings while giving up  six earned  (and three unearned) runs off   nine  hits. Spitz was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Mya Ramaekers was a standout: she got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with six  RBI, a  stolen base, and a  double. That  double was  her first of the season. Another player making a difference was  JLee Van Driel, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Twin River  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .525. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as NEN only posted  an  OBP of  .343.
 Meanwhile, Southern/Diller-Odell couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost  12-0 to Aquinas on Saturday. The  loss   continues a  trend for Southern/Diller-Odell in their matchups with Aquinas: they've now lost five in a row.
 Twin River has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four games,  which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record  this season. As for Southern/Diller-Odell, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
 Everything went Twin River's way against Southern/Diller-Odell in their previous meeting  back in August of 2023 as Twin River made off with  an  8-1 victory. Will Twin River repeat their success,  or does  Southern/Diller-Odell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
