Baseball Recap: Porterville Takes a Loss

If Porterville was feeling good fresh off their 10-4 takedown of Mt. Whitney on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers came up short against the Monache Marauders on Tuesday, falling 8-0. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Marauders: they've now lost three in a row.

Porterville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James Medrano, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Porterville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-20. As for Monache, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Porterville nor Monache have any future games scheduled.
