Brooks hasn't had much luck against Kennedy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will challenge the Crusaders at 4:30 p.m. Brooks will be strutting in after a win while Kennedy will be coming in after a loss.
Brooks' pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Simeon with a sharp 16-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won seven in a row.

Amaya Estrada made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Estrada was also big at the plate, earning one run and two stolen bases. Estrada is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, Jayla Tarr was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Sunata Davis was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs.
Meanwhile, Kennedy suffered their biggest defeat since March 23rd on Wednesday. They came up short against Saint Ignatius College Prep, falling 18-4.
Ariel Huerta made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
Brooks' record now sits at 7-4-1. As for Kennedy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Brooks has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .609. However, it's not like Kennedy struggles in that department as they've averaged .657. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Brooks might still be hurting after the 12-1 defeat they got from Kennedy in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
