Ingleside hadn't done well against Jones recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Mustangs narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Trojans 5-4. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Ingleside considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

Ingleside has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Jones, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ingleside is set to take on their familiar foe Bishop at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Jones will square off against rival Tuloso-Midway at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
