Dickson County is 9-1 against Northwest since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Dickson County put up the most runs they have all season on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 20-1 margin over Kenwood. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won four in a row.

Brynn Good made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Dickson County got a massive performance out of Coralee Grove, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Gracyn McCormick also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Dickson County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Northwest, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past West Creek 20-5 on Tuesday. With that victory, the Vikings brought their scoring average up to 6.9 runs per game.

Tavasia Buckley was a standout: she scored four runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Karena Frost, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.

Dickson County's record now sits at 18-8. As for Northwest, their record is now 5-9.

Everything went Dickson County's way against Northwest in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as Dickson County made off with an 11-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
