Trabuco Hills won the last time they faced Tesoro and things went their way on Friday too. The Mustangs narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Titans 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Mike DeFrancesca looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Trabuco Hills saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Van De Kreeke, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Van De Kreeke has posted since back in February.

Trabuco Hills' victory bumped their record up to 17-7-1. As for Tesoro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-18.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Trabuco Hills will challenge rival Capistrano Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mustangs 2, the Cougars 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Tesoro is set to square off against their familiar foe Aliso Niguel at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
