Baseball Recap: Williams Takes a Loss

Williams was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 6-3 to the Southern Alamance Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-3 last Tuesday.

Williams saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angel Mora, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Williams' loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Southern Alamance, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Williams didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-4 defeat against Western Alamance on the 25th. As for Southern Alamance, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-1 victory against South Granville on the 25th.
