Coconino is 10-0 against Mingus since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Coconino Panthers will take on the Mingus Marauders at 7:00 p.m. Coconino will be strutting in after a victory while Mingus will be coming in after a loss.

Coconino can't be too worried about heading out to take on Mingus: they just beat Flagstaff at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Coconino came out on top against Flagstaff by a score of 51-44 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Mingus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt an 87-35 loss at the hands of Prescott. While losing is never fun, the Marauders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Badgers are ranked 16th).

Mingus' defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Coconino, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Everything went Coconino's way against Mingus in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as Coconino made off with a 61-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Coconino since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
