            The York Wildcats will challenge the Cape Elizabeth Capers at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
If York beats Cape Elizabeth with eight  runs on Friday, it's going to be the  squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two  matchups with that exact score. The Wildcats beat Gray-New Gloucester on Wednesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  8-4.

 Conor Fell and  Robbie Hanscom did most of the damage at the plate:  Fell  went 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI, while  Hanscom  went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and one  double. Those  three  RBI gave  Hanscom a new career-high.  John Jacobsohn also deserves some recognition as  he  snagged his first  stolen base of the season.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: York  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least nine  hits in three consecutive  games.
 Meanwhile, Cape Elizabeth faced Greely in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Capers had just enough and edged out the Rangers  5-4.
 Cape Elizabeth pushed their record up to 5-2 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for York, their record now sits at 9-2.
 York suffered a grim  19-6 defeat to Cape Elizabeth  when the teams last played  two weeks ago. Can the Wildcats avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
