Recap: Academy Park Knights vs. Boyertown Bears
The Academy Park Knights pushed their score all the way to 75 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 83-75 to Boyertown. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Tuesday (58), Academy Park still had to take the loss.
Boyertown was led to victory by Jack Greaves and Trey Kern. Greaves dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds, while Kern scored 27 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kern has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ryan Thompson, who scored six points along with six assists and three steals.
Academy Park has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Boyertown, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9.
Academy Park will face off against Kennett at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Boyertown, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Owen J. Roberts at 6:45 p.m. Owen J. Roberts has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 188 points over their last three matchups.
