Recap: West Port Wolf Pack vs. Wildwood Wildcats
After losing to the Wildwood Wildcats the last time they met, the West Port Wolf Pack decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. West Port snuck past Wildwood with a 54-50 win on Monday.
It was another big night for Demetrius Brown, who scored 20 points. The matchup was his ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dylan Luke, who scored 11 points.
Despite the loss, Wildwood still got an impressive performance from Terriyon Bryant, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Bryant scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevonte Corbin, who scored five points.
West Port's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Wildwood, they have fallen quite a ways from their 19-8-1 record last season and are now at 2-6.
West Port won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Vanguard at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Vanguard presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Port in Florida (Vanguard is ranked 177th, while West Port is ranked 362nd). Wildwood will be home for the holidays to greet Zephyrhills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
