Volleyball Recap: Jacksboro Takes a Loss

Jacksboro saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Sweetwater Mustangs by a score of 2-1. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Sweetwater to victory were Lexi Maestas and Kieran Sisk. Maestas had 17 digs and three aces, while Sisk had seven digs and two aces. Maestas is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 17 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Alexis Hereditary-Gonzales also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Jacksboro's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Sweetwater, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jacksboro will face off against Archer City at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sweetwater, they will challenge Woodson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
