Basketball Game Preview: Cherryville Ironmen vs. West Lincoln Rebels

Cherryville hasn't had much luck against West Lincoln recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Ironmen are taking a road trip to take on the Rebels at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

The home team had come away the winner the last three times Cherryville and Pinnacle Classical Academy had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Ironmen fell 49-36 to the Eagles on Tuesday. Ironmen fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Eagles since Tuesday.

Meanwhile, West Lincoln played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 58-29 loss at the hands of Bunker Hill. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rebels have suffered against the Bears since February 15, 2022.

Having lost for the first time this season, West Lincoln fell to 2-1. As for Cherryville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Things could have been worse for Cherryville, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 41-24 loss to West Lincoln in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can the Ironmen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
