Volleyball Recap: Central Dauphin East Takes a Loss

Central Dauphin East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carlisle Thundering Herd. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Thundering Herd this season, with their most recent defeat being a 1-0 loss two weeks ago.

While Central Dauphin East ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 18-25, 25-22, 25-17.

Marcello Burton paced Central Dauphin East's offense, picking up 14 kills. Burton got some help from Pramesh Gurung and his 30 assists.

Central Dauphin East's defeat dropped their record down to 10-18-3. As for Carlisle, their record is now 11-7-1.

Central Dauphin East has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Hershey on the 6th. As for Carlisle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Mechanicsburg on the 6th.
