Recap: Oak Grove Panthers vs. Wellington-Napoleon Tigers
After losing to the Wellington-Napoleon Tigers the last time they met, the Oak Grove Panthers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Oak Grove walked away with a 36-25 win over Wellington-Napoleon on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Oak Grove.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Corinna Utterback, who scored six points along with six rebounds and four steals. Isabelle Miller was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Oak Grove now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Wellington-Napoleon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.
Oak Grove the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Summit Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Wellington-Napoleon won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Sweet Springs at 5:30 p.m. on January 18th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Missouri (Sweet Springs is ranked 304th, while Wellington-Napoleon is ranked 320th).
