Soccer Recap: Seton Catholic Comes Up Short

Seton Catholic lost to Columbia back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cougars fell just short of the Bruins by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Seton Catholic have lost by just one goal.

This is the second loss in a row for Seton Catholic and nudges their season record down to 6-4-2. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-2-2 La Center (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 77.1% over those games). As for Columbia, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Seton Catholic will challenge Onalaska at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Seton Catholic will be up against Onalaska's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.86 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Columbia, they will head out to challenge La Center at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
