Basketball Recap: South Takes a Loss

South and North squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but South had to settle for second. They took a 51-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Stars. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Stars earlier this season, when they won 59-56.

South's defeat dropped their record down to 19-11. As for North, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 20 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season.

South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North, they will square off against Righetti at 4:00 p.m. on March 1st. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Righetti comes in on five and North on four.
