Soccer Game Preview: Zephyrhills vs. Patel

The Zephyrhills Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Patel Trailblazers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Zephyrhills is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Central an 8-0 shutout on Thursday. It was an even better day for Sara Rios as she scored four goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Patel came tearing into Tuesday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.8 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Spartans 8-0. Considering the Trailblazers have won six games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Patel pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those five matches. As for Zephyrhills, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-10.
