Clear Lake and Clear Brook are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2021, but not for long. The Falcons will venture away from home to face off against the Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Clear Brook took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Clear Lake, who comes in off a win.

Clear Lake can't be too worried about heading out to take on Clear Brook: they just beat Clear Creek at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. The Falcons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Wildcats on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted since September 6th.

Clear Lake took Clear Creek into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-19, 20-25, 25-22, 16-14.

Meanwhile, Clear Brook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Clear Falls, falling 3-0.

While Clear Brook ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 25-17.

Clear Lake's win bumped their record up to 26-14. As for Clear Brook, their loss dropped their record down to 16-23.

Clear Lake took their victory against Clear Brook when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
