The Lodi Flames will square off against the Enochs Eagles at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Lodi 1.8, Enochs 3.5) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
Lodi gave up the first  runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them  down. They came out on top against Downey by a score of  6-1. The Flames haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive  win against them.
 Andrew Fichtner was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Furthermore,  he didn't allow a single  hit, the first time  he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.

 In other batting news,  Chase Whiting was  excellent,  going 1-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  RBI.  Noah Hufford was another key player,  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances with two  RBI.
Meanwhile,  it may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Enochs ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  4-3  victory over Merced.
 Parker Johnson tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out seven over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run any time he's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side,  Davian Garcia and  Caden Reeve did most of the damage at the plate:  Garcia  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances, while  Reeve  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base and one  double.
 Lodi's win was  their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Enochs, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record  this season.
 Lodi came up short against Enochs in their previous meeting  back in May of 2024, falling  5-1. Can Lodi avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
