Wheeler won the last time they faced Grasso Tech and things went their way on Monday too. The Lions blew past the Eagles 14-3. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Mason Perkins, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April. Another player making a difference was James Main, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Wheeler always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Wheeler and bumps their season record up to 10-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Grasso Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wheeler will host Ledyard at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grasso Tech, they will square off against New London at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
