Grand Rapids and North Branch are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2017, but not for long. The Thunderhawks will head out to take on the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

On Wednesday, Grand Rapids made easy work of Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thunderhawks.

Meanwhile, North Branch got the win against Hibbing on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Grand Rapids' victory bumped their record up to 19-8. As for North Branch, their win bumped their record up to 15-9.

Grand Rapids skirted past North Branch 3-2 when the teams last played back in August. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunderhawks since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
