Volleyball Recap: Concord Takes a Loss

Concord saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Pinole Valley Spartans.

Concord's offense was headlined by Scott Bliss and Jumaiya Tabayoyong, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Levi Serrano and his 11 assists. Finally, he was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Concord has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. The win (which was Pinole Valley's eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Concord has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Analy on the 22nd. As for Pinole Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Archie Williams on the 22nd.
