Basketball Recap: Skyline Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Skyline won the last time they faced Bedford and things went their way on Friday too. The Skyline Eagles secured an 84-79 W over the Bedford Kicking Mules. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Kicking Mules are ranked 227th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Skyline pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.0 points over those games. As for Bedford, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Skyline will square off against Huron at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bedford, they will face off against Dexter at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
