Basketball Game Preview: Averill Park Warriors vs. Saratoga Springs Blue Streaks

Averill Park is 1-7 against Saratoga Springs since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Averill Park Warriors will venture away from home to take on the Saratoga Springs Blue Streaks at 7:00 p.m.

Averill Park is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 57 points on Friday, they were much more limited against Shenendehowa on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 57-27 loss at the hands of the Plainsmen. The matchup marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Saratoga Springs came into Tuesday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Columbia by a score of 57-50 on Tuesday.

Saratoga Springs' win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5. As for Averill Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4.

Averill Park lost to Saratoga Springs on the road by a decisive 63-47 margin when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Averill Park avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
