Mosley took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Marianna, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Dolphins won by a run and slipped past the Bulldogs 12-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Dolphins have posted since April 23, 2025.

Maycee Johnson made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and nine unearned) runs off six hits. Johnson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Mosley got a massive performance out of Kinlee Carter, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and four runs. McKenzie Grewe was another key player, going 2-for-5 with four RBI and one run.

Mosley hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marianna struck out eight times.

Mosley's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Marianna, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coming up, Mosley will head out on the road to take on Vernon at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Dolphins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellowjackets have averaged an impressive 12.2 runs per game this season. As for Marianna, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Malone at 6:00 p.m.
