Basketball Game Preview: Stratton Eagles vs. McClave Cardinals

The Stratton Eagles and the McClave Cardinals will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Stratton comes in on 18 and McClave on seven.

Stratton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They took down Primero 67-48.

Meanwhile, McClave strolled past Elbert with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 55-40.

McClave found their leader in sophomore Tuff Kelley, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds. The match was Kelley's sixth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jr. Mungaray, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten boards.

Stratton's win bumped their record up to 21-5. As for McClave, their victory bumped their record up to 23-3.

Stratton beat McClave 67-59 in their previous meeting back in January. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Kelley, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and 18 rebounds.
