Softball Recap: Mendenhall Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Mendenhall waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Quitman Panthers 13-0. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Kimora Bouldin made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nala Ducksworth, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Emma Fewell was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Mendenhall was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .471 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Mendenhall pushed their record up to 10-4-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Quitman, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Mendenhall will have a chance to go back-to-back against Quitman: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
