Volleyball Game Preview: Futures Knights vs. Summerville Bears + Official Tickets

The Futures Knights will take on the Summerville Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Futures is coming into the match hot, having won their last 13 games.

Futures proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Forest Lake Christian 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since September 30th.

Futures took Forest Lake Christian into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-20, 25-15, 20-25, 15-9.

Futures' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nikka Vinokurov, who had 46 digs and eight aces. Vinokurov is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Svetlana Blyshchyk was another key player, getting 31 digs, 22 kills, and one block.

Meanwhile, Summerville hadn't done well against Linden recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bears came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lions, sneaking past 3-2.

Summerville wouldn't go down easily and took Linden into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 14-25, 27-25, 25-10, 19-25, 16-14.

Summerville's victory bumped their record up to 12-14. As for Futures, their win bumped their record up to 22-2.
