Plainfield Central had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the East Moline United Panthers on Thursday as they made off with an 8-2 win. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Plainfield Central and bumps their season record up to 27-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for East Moline United, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-13 record this season.
