Loudoun County is 2-8 against Dominion since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Captains will challenge the Titans at 6:30 p.m. Loudoun County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6 runs per game this season.

Loudoun County is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since April 15, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against Briar Woods, falling 10-1. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Captains' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Loudoun County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Shaw, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Dominion hadn't done well against Riverside recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Titans blew past the Ram 12-5. The game was the first time the Titans have beaten the Ram on their field since April 26, 2016.

This is the second loss in a row for Loudoun County and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Dominion, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record.

Loudoun County beat Dominion 12-9 in their previous meeting last Wednesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Captains since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
